So much to do tomorrow. *sigh*
I am up late doing some editing to a photo shoot we had Sunday. My eyes are so tired from it. I get in a zone and I think at times I don't blink because I am so focused. LOL!
I am headed to bed so I am up and ready to teach class and get the food stuffs ready for Thursday.
I hope everyone who has traveling to do for the holiday gets to their destination safely. Be it down the street ,across town or across state lines.
Now to take myself to bed.

November 6, 2010
Baby it's cold outside
November has just started and we hit freezing ( 32 degrees) last night. Brrrrrrr!
So how are you all this fine eve? Me? Awww thank you for asking... I am splendiferous!! We had a lazy Saturday. Kids were busy doing their own thing with their friends so we decided that we too would just relax. My DH has been under so much stress with work that he needed a day to let his mind slow down and not fire a million electrical charges every nano second. Then of course the Sooners took the field and well the relaxing went out the window cause BLAH they lost bad.
On a better note, I am loving the cooler weather that has made it's way into Okieland. I remember loving summer when I was younger but now I long for the jeans and T-shirt temps. Hmmm wonder if this means the *change* is creeping upon me... nahh.
Not much happened early in the day. Like I said football was on the t.v and Dragon and I were in WoW raiding with our guild. The best part of the eve was we got our King Slayer titles. YAY! We were worried that with all the raiding we had missed during the house disaster that we would not get it before the expansion came out but WOOT we did!
LOL on another game type note.... I recently hooked my mom up with some games I have. PC games like object finder types. Well she called Dragon and I in to help her find this question mark she just could not find.Poor mom she had replayed this level many times and was starting to think she was going nuts. Well with my when all else fails look it up on the internet mind frame I of course went to google and poof what did I find.... she is in fact NOT going crazy! The programmers goofed and the last question mark does not show up in normal mode just in the blitz mode. She is now relieved yet sad cause it means she can not get the trophy she had been going for. Poor Mom :(
Hmmm other fun stuff i can ramble about....
Oh we watched Toy Story 3 last night. It was actually really good. We knew this for when it froze up and we all freaked cause we were so into what was going to happen next. I have to say Spanish Buzz was worth a few giggles for sure.
Hmmm kind of a non eventful blog post but after having a relaxing day i guess that is a good thing.
So my words to leave you on.....
Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour... if you live in a day light savings observing state.

2010 what a year
So much for having a summer filled with fun and trips.....
Nope life had something else in mind for us this year.
We had some nasty weather in May.Tornado hit the town just south of us and here on our block we got a nice visit at 4 am from straight line winds. The days that followed the winds we noticed our living room floor was damp to the touch.... thought this was just the kids walking through with a glass of liquid or something. A few days pass and we get a nice screaming whistle coming from under the kitchen sink and the seams to our den's floating floor are swollen. Oh lovely , we think to ourselves, we have storm damage. Called the insurance people and they send out a roof and siding guy.... UGH.We knew it wasn't the roof ... while we were waiting for his appointment date we found water pooled in my mother's linen closet in her bathroom. We knew some where a pipe was leaking. Boy was one leaking. Ended up ,almost a half month later, the insurance finally got on the right road ,cause they wouldn't listen to us, and got a plumber out with the equipment to listen under the slab and TADA he found that we had a leak under the kitchen floor.
To save you a longer story I will try and chop it all down....
Lived in a hotel for over 20 days.. this was AFTER they dug a 6 foot hole in the kitchen floor and fixed the pipe.
Upon insurance finally listening to being told that the whole house was WET they pulled up every bit of flooring in the house.
We lived on concrete and out of suitcases for over 60 days.
Finally October comes and we have our home back. Five months!! All our plans for vacations and trips got moved to next year. With the crews here packing us out and drying the house up, then fixing all the holes from wet drywall being replaced and painting, then the flooring installs... OMG our electric bills have killed our budget. We are just now seeing it drop to half of what it was.
I will tell you this. DO NOT ever use Service Masters to pack you. They are great at drying and cleaning up water damage but NEVER use them to pack your house out. We have so much broken stuff it is not even funny. They didn't use blankets on any of the furniture , just stacked it willy nilly in the POD... So my brand new bedroom suit is scratched and damaged along with the rest of the dressers, table and chairs. I will also add if you ever need to store your things like we did and want it close to you for safety use PODS.Kind of costly if you are having to pay for them yourself but the peace of mind knowing our life and home were in the front yard safe from theft and weather was priceless to us.
The construction company was wonderful as was our flooring people. The only complaint we have is they need to learn to shut the door when in someone's home and the AC is running for their comfort.
Now it is November *sigh*. Still going through things and getting it all in place.Slow road but what a way to clean house. LOL! We all agree that it is so nice to have carpet and our stuff back. Was kind of a shock to have stuff in the house after months of nothing just walls and a bed. I think we all suffered from a little claustrophobia for a few days after they packed us back in.
Life is calm again... for now. My sister is due to deliver her 6th child on the 16th of this month. That is sure to bring some excitement. We are all ready for Thanksgiving and time with family and friends. I am no where near ready for Christmas... who is really? I am loving the cooler weather. So nice to do all that needs to be done and not be dieing of 105 degree heat.... even if we went from nice Fall weather to almost freezing at night now.
So I hope you are all happy with knowing where I disappeared to and why I haven't blogged in a year. Looking back now I am just sad that pretty much all of 2010 we spent in chaos. It seems like a blur... I blinked and life as we knew it was no more and it was looking to never get back to normal.... BUT it is and we are ALL so glad.
I hope you all are well and safe.
I also hope you are ready to read about my life in Organized Chaos cause
