When food talks

I still don't listen. LOL!

So today Beth and I were peeling potatoes for potato salad and look what we found in the bag. Of course we had to take a pic. She of course sent it to her bf ... I posted it on facebook saying that their plee for not being eaten was going ignored. LOL!

So how are you all doing? We here are doing good. Lots has been keeping us busy. End of school, tornadoes, planting our garden, family medical issues and getting ready for company. Life hands us , for lack of a better word, stuff and we can either deal with it or well deal with it....cause it sure aint going away.

We are all still coming out of shock at how close the trnadoes got to our home on Sunday and at how destructive the one that hit Moore was. I know that the one to hit Moore was an Ef 5 but I have not heard about the one that hit Shawnee and Bethal. I know it was strong enough to take brick homes down to their cement pads though.

We drive 1-77 everyday to get Dave from work and to see the trees look as if the expoloded is just amazing. We most definatly got VERY lucky. The whole time we watched the tv reporter ,who was sitting in the casino parking lot right down the road filming the funnel that wanted to get it's act together, we were talking to it.... please don't form...keep going down the highway...please don't come together. It didn't reform and this side of town was spared .... this time.

BUT in all the splinters and mud and insolation that was scattered all over you can see why I love living in this state. The PEOPLE. Now do not get me wrong I am not blind to the fact there are still jerks here but I can see that the good out number the bad 10 to 1. There have been a few looters and scammers but when I saw that 2500 volunteers had come to Shawnee to help our friends and loved ones I knew that my faith in humanity was not ill placed. Seeing the trucks filled with needs in the parking lot of the mall brought tears to my eyes. I just hope that all the poeple effected can find peace in all this.

We have a long road ahead of us but we will face it as one and be Oklahoma Proud.

So Dragon is wanting to have me watch this new series he found on netflix. Hemlock grove.... it is weird so say the least. On episode 3 now.

Till i write again... Later my freaky darlings.

A quick fun treat

No Bon Fire required.

Someone on my facebook shared a version of this yumminess. When I saw it my first thought was yumm but my second thought was.... ummm the crumb part is not going to exit the muffin tin in one piece. So of course I went to altering this so I could make it cause like I said it looked yumm.

Cast of Characters

Picture is upside down I know but think of it as one of those keep your brain sharp puzzles. LOL!

1 bag of large marshmallows
2 tbls chocolate icing
.5 tsp cinnomon
4 tsp sugar
.25 cup melted butter
6 hershey bars
box of graham cracker crumbs

Spray a 13x9 pan with buttered flavored oil.
mix crumbs , sugar, cinnomon and melted butter with a fork till well mixed.
press crumb mixture into bottom of the pan and up the sides.
bake for 10 - 15 min at 350 degrees or until crumbs are golden brown
Break chocolate bars in half while crust is backing
When crust comes out of oven place bars in a single layer on top of crust
place marshmallows in a single layer on top of bars... both bars and mallows will start to melt
place back in oven for 5 min
Microwave icing for 15 sec so it can be drizzled over mallows

Let cool for 10 min before serving OR let cool and put in fridge to serve later. This is good cool and warm.

Enjoy!

ONE word is needed

and that word is .....

                                              COFFEE !!!!

Today is mow the MIL's lawn day and so Dragon has gone to do that, Our septic tank is uber full due to all the rain so Beth is doing laundry at her house as well. I seriously need to sale 5 grand worth of crochet so we can get one of those new fangled sprinkler systems that spray your broken down and bleached waste all over the ground at night. I know it sounds gross but it works. Plus nothing helps your grass turn into a green carpet of lushness like bleached poo. LMAO! OK I think I just made myself turn green. Sorry : (

So Tuesday my dear old friend just what do we have in store today? Hmm we have school to teach and when Beth gets back laundry to fold and school to teach. Sweet. Then dinner to cook. Ohhhh contain yourselves ....   I know such an exciting life is inspiring. : P

Oooooo fun stuffs I did this morning was read a blog where BHM ( big handsome males, in this case) went into a A&F store and tried on the clothes AND took model type pics in them while in the store. Pure AWESOME SAUCE!! I got to see a pic of the CEO dude that made the comments, that I am sure you have heard about.... anywho he looks like the chic who had surgery on her face to look like a feline. Now I do not know if he has had surgery too but DAHAM! He sure ran his mouth and threw stones without thinking ... "hey I am no Ryan Reynolds drool maker here maybe I should keep my yap shut about only wanting the sexy to shop my stores".  The sexy , the good looking... who the heck does he think he is to think he even has the authority the tell US who fits into this category of his. You know what dude FU! FU for making young women and men hurt themselves to make your sick fantasy come true. FU for all the people who have hurt themselves so they could work in one of your stores so they could pay bills. FU!!!

Just a note to like EVERYONE!!!  It is ok to be healthy ...... and I mean healthy. Healthy comes in all sizes. Some are a size 5 and for some it is a size 20 but be healthy and happy. DON'T hurt your self to become something that you see on a sketch pad. PLEASE!

Ohhh man do I need coffee now And maybe a punching bag ... ooo or a snickers. I get kinda crazy when it comes to these type subjects.

okies so I guess I am off for now....

Have a wonderful Tuesday my freaky darlings.

What a wonderful Mother's Day weekend

I have to say this right up front....

This was the best Mother's day weekend I have had in forever! Want to hear the most amazing thing about it.... no money was spent on me. I know right!!!

My weekend end started off on Friday. The girls recital rehearsal for dance. Amazing is what those girls and boys are. I am talking the whole company. You get to watch the evolution from the tiny little ones just starting out  to the Senior who blow your mind. I have to say this is money well spent. The smiles on their faces is priceless and watching them dance has Dave, Dustin and I all on cloud nine still.

Saturday I Blinged shirts for the finale. Oh and side note yes Blinged will soon have a place in the dictionary.
Bling ~Blinging, Blinged~ - The item that makes a shirt FABULOUSLY sparkly that does not use the form of craft herpes (AKA glitter), but instead rhinestones or crystals. ~ The action of adding sparkle to ANYTHING/EVERYTHING.
Yes my darlings you are welcome for the new brain wrinkle.
Here is an example. Aren't I just great to provide this kind of knowledge. LOL!

The girls did SO AWESOME!!!  What a mother's day present to see my girls dance to one of my favorite songs, Make you feel my love. Yes I teared up a little while I watched them. They have grown up so fast. It is just hitting me really hard that Beth will be a High School grad come Jan. and how Harli is turning into such a wise young lady who is starting 7th grade. WHO gave them permission to grow up!!! Oh ya time did.

Here is a couple more pictures of rehearsal for all our family in other states. I am hoping to attach the videos at the end of this post so X your fingers now I can figure that out for you. LOL!

Now we are onto Sunday ... Mother's Day. I awake to the sound of a lawn mower * squeee!!! * Our lawn that has become a rainforest due to us getting rain every week , not complaining AT ALL cause we need it , is being mowed. I did a squirmy happy dance in bed. LOL!  The lawn kept Dave and Adam busy till after 4 in the afternoon , we have a lot of yard to mow in back. LOL! BUT it is done and it looks good AND is ready for more rain. YEAH!!! The rest of the afternoon consisted of Dustin making fresh Salsa and Beth making, from scratch, Red Velvet cupcakes while I relaxed in my crochet chair and worked on my project. Ohhh and I was entertained by my long time crush on the lap top. What? Pics or it didn't happen? Well aren't you in luck.

YES!!! My two FAVORITE actors rolled into one HIGHlarious movie.

OK so now to focus on the blog at hand. Sorry RR just does something to me that well.... makes me brain numb and only capable of staring accompanied by some noises that could be classified as moans but   .....

we aren't judging!!!.LOL!

Ok ..... ohh ya .....

Dinner was wonderful. Bacon wrapped chicken. OMG so good. Cupcakes for dessert AND best of all watched movies with my girls.  Like I said in the title WONDERFUL Mother's Day indeed. So blessed and thankful.
SO that was my weekend. I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day and that the week ahead is a good one too.

Now let me see how do I ....... Nope not that button ..... maybe if I .......

I DID IT!!!! Ok Want to see them bigger?Click the title of the video to go to youtube directly. SO AMAZED I DID IT!!!

And on that note of accomplishment...

Later my freaky darlings.

Mondays are fundays ... said no one ever

AND they're off!!!! No it wasn't the derby this morning it was Dragon and I. The MIL called and was in the middle of a full blown allergic reaction to a med she takes ... we think.... all I know is her lips looked like she had gone Hollywood on us.  I tell ya I don't know when I move faster... when I hear my kids getting sick OR when the MIL calls and says "HELP". Wait .... when someone says there is cheesecake it has been rumored that all that is seen is a blur of color in my wake. True story.
Back to the MIL. She is doing better. They are watching her in the hospital to make sure her botox gone wrong impression stays a thing of the past.

In other news - - - - - -

Dragon is 33 today!!! * blows invisible noise horn* He has been apart of our family for 10 years. OK some months were missed the first year but all in all 10 years. * sorry OCD math whizes* Having him be apart of our family has been a blessing and we love him so much. Happy Birthday Dragon!!!!!

We had his cookout yesterday but Hachi saved the best for today. * still drooling AND using UBER will power to not raid the leftovers* She made the most awesome dessert that was perfect for Dragon... Strawberries N Cream cupcakes. FROM SCRATCH too!!! It is now official .... she has inherited her grandma's baking gene. NOW to make her perfect pie crust and my evil plan is complete. MUHAHAHA!!!!!

* grins * I know I know I worry me sometimes too. But it passes.

SO hmmmm something else I learned ....
When starting a project from a magazine I get on my Nook I should find out if it is US terminology. I started a medallion hot pad and noticed it was just too spacey. No I am not talking about me. :P  The pattern had pictures... thank bob.... and I noticed something was just not looken right. Well it was written UK terms.  SO class my words of wisdom are .... check where your magizines come from or you could be Froggen like it is a hot summers night and the moon is hitting your eye like a big pizza pie.

I think I took my weird pills today... ohhhhh ya that aint it ... it is called 4 hours sleep.

And on that note.

Night my Freaky Darlings!!!!
